About This Site

Hello there,

My name's Lucas Zallio, I'm an amateur photographer. I mean, I don't take photos for living, I just do it as a hobby.

This site was made following the following objectives:

  • Show my pictures I post in certain sets and tags on Flickr using a custom environment.
  • Learning from practise. I'm always trying new things and practising different techniques.
  • Critique myself by logging my mistakes in order to improve.

I've taking photos for a while, and you may find photos taken with different cameras and using different configurations.

The Equipment

Even thought I use a Nikon D90 with different lenses, you may found different types of cameras browsing throw my pictures. In most of my pictures I use a Nikkor 18-105mm and the classic Nikkor fast 50mm 1.8f

Besides the D90, you could find pictures taken with a Panasonic FZ30 or even a compact Kodak

The website

I created this site by programming a lightweight interface that uses Flickr's API to show certain sets I have in my Flickr account.

That was because I also use my flickr account as a photo sharing tool so I don't want my social and common-life pictures to be mixed with the pictures I take to learn photography.

I called this tool Photus and it's made using LinxPHP a MVC framework created by Pixelatom. If you're interested on this, please let me know: lucas[at]zallio.com.ar

This is one of the first version of Photus so it's quite limited right now. I will be adding featuers soon.
